Fiery Style Southwestern Flaming Grill at the Newport Mall, Resorts World Manila

Mexican restaurants were the “IN” thing with the “Colegialas” and the boys from the Ivy League schools back in the day.  The most popular one was in fact located right smack in the heart of the old Greenbelt in Makati City.  You belonged to the cool and the popular if you were seen in the establishment around mid-day, in your school uniform, rushing to the bathroom just about to (excuse the word) barf.

It was the hangout of different kids from different schools, still wearing their school uniforms – playing drinking games, experimenting on smoking too, smooching with their boyfriend, or pouring their heart out with their best friend.  Being there and experiencing the whole thing was actually a right of passage.  I bet a lot of my batch-mates will be grinning reading this material, those were “the days” when we were all young and foolish.

Recently, we were fortunate to be invited to a food tasting at the newest Mexican restaurant in town, and they’re getting pretty well-known for serving a variety of Southwestern favourites, Fiery Style Southwestern Flaming Grill is the perfect place for lunch, dinner or late night cocktails with friends.  Currently with four branches open at Mall of Asia, Resorts World Manila, Festival Mall Alabang and Evia Lifestyle Mall, and soon to open more branches in Forbes Town BGC and Okada Manila to satisfy your palate.   A step up from the past, Mexican restaurants nowadays have updated the whole gastronomic experience to a whole new level.  Given, Mexican food already has that distinct character, the wonderful colors and flavors and the similarities to some Filipino entrees that makes it close to the hearts of the Pinoys because of our Spanish ancestors or the 300-year Spanish “Conquestador” influence.

We were full to the rafters I tell you, when we went to the Fiery Style Southwestern Flaming Grill at the Newport Mall, Resorts World Manila, thanks to President and Managing Director, Mat Ramillo P. Tee, and Sir Migs dela Rosa, as they served us the best of the best!  A magnificent array of sumptuous grub, pleasing  all 6 senses.  Creatively served and beautifully laid out in wonderful bright colors, dramatically plated, with the most flavourful “salsas” and toppings and surprisingly very affordable yet very authentic – Fiery Nachos, a mountain of tortilla chips, topped with cheese and your choice of toppings, Great affordable US Steaks price starts at P198 or one of their Galleon Grills Combos with a sampling of tasty dishes, suitable for sharing with friends. The Mucho Shareable of 1 kilo Grilled Fork- tender Rump Steak, no wonder Fiery Style is now the talk of the town.

I matched the feast with a Strawberry Paloma, that had quite the kick because according to sir Matt, they only use authentic mixes.  You can also quench your thirst with fresh fruit margaritas, the other Paloma flavors, or the mojitos.  Enjoy bottomless Mexican Cocktails starting at P278 available all day, every day!  Classic cocktails and other beverages are also available at Fiery Style’s bar.  DJ’s and Acoustic Bands perform every Thursday, Friday and Saturday.

Undoubtedly, Fiery Style Southwestern Grill is a perfect place for your friends and family.  A total experience, wonderful dining, great line up of drinks, as well as entertainment.  Spend your next night a night out at Fiery Style Southwestern Grill.   For more details and reservations, please visit their facebook at: facebook.com/fierystyleSouthwesternGrill and Instagram @fierystyle.
